Yesterday Amanda was photographed at a Los Angeles airport coming back from New Orleans, where she has finished shooting her new Lifetime movie Living Proof.
The New York Times and various other sources have Amanda attatched to a movie called Bumped. It will be independently financed and sold to a studio later for a 2009 release. IMDB currently lists the project as in development.
Here are more plot details: The comedy-drama follows the lives of several people in their 20's including an ambitious executive, a flirt and a musician who, under any normal circumstances, would not have anything in common and as far as friends go but this time around are "bumped" from a flight and wind up stranded at the O'Hare airport in Chicago.
The film is written by Lizzy Weiss, the writer behind Blue Crush, and will be directed by Anna Mastra.
Amanda's involvement is not yet confirmed for this particular project, but Amanda is starring in an ensemble film called Living Proof for Lifetime which you can read about here.
FINALLY, the Hollywood Reporter breaks the news of Amanda's next project. It's an all star ensemble drama for Lifetime called Living Proof!
The film comes from producers Renee Zellweger and Hairspray producers Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Amanda will play the student assistant of Hary Connick Jr's character, Dennis Slamon. The film is based on the book about the UCLA doctor who developed the breast cancer drug Herceptin.
Angie Harmon, Bernadette Peters, Swoosie Kurtz, Regina King, Jennifer Coolidge, Trudie Styler, Tammy Blanchard, John Benjamin Hickey Paula Cale and Harry Connick Jr. round out the cast.
Amanda attended the Cosmopolitian Fun and Fearless Female party yesterday, where successful women in Hollywood shared stories about working in the business.
