Adam Shankman, director of Hairspray, has been tapped to direct a new musical that shows the rise and fall of a popular trust fund family from Manhattan. Among the possible cast, our very own Amanda Bynes!
Shankman will also choreograh the musical, based on the tunes of eighties band Electric Light Orchestra.
The film has a working title of The-Trump Hiltons and also listed in the possible cast for the film are Steve Carell, Sarah Jessica Parker, Morgan Fairchild, Leslie Kritzer, and Matthew Broderick.
The film is peggged for a summer 2010 relese.

A sequel to the $200 million smash hit musical Hairspray is in the works!
New Line Cinema has asked original Hairspray creater John Waters to write a treatment for the film, with hopes to have it in theaters in July of 2010. Already reportedly in for the sequel are original director Adam Shankman, lyricists Marc Shaiman and Scott Wittman, and producers Neil Meron and Craig Zadan.
Although no cast has been announced, the studio hopes to reunite the entire ensemble from the first film.
What do you guys think? Would you like to see Amanda don Penny's pigtails again? I sure would!

Knox News is reporting that Amanda Bynes and Family Guy creator Seth McFarlane could be an item. The pair were allegedly spotted together at Fox's All Star party with Seth following Amanda around everywhere and telling interviewers his date was getting away from him when she would leave his side.
There's not even any confirmation that Amanda was even at the event, because no photos of her have been seen yet, so take this gossip with a grain of salt. The two were photographed at the movies recently, but friends see movies together too don't they?
