TeenHollywood: In the movie, there is a website that rates who is hot and not at college. Do you think that's harmful?
Amanda: I think that's harmful. It's definitely shown [in the film] that my character doesn't really care about it but Rachel Witchburn, the evil witch character, does care about it. I think that's a perfect example of why she and I don't get along. We wanted to really prove that there are those girls out there but you don't need to be part of that to succeed.
TeenHollywood: Have you talked to Nikki Blonsky since Hairspray?
Amanda: Oh yeah. I love Nikki. We talk all the time. She is filming a movie called Harold in her hometown. She's doin' great. I'm really excited for her.
TeenHollywood: This film is sort of 'revenge of the dorks' so do you consider yourself a dork and would you date a dork?
Amanda: Yes, I do consider myself a dork, definitely. Growing up I had a huge collection of "Archie" comic books and I would definitely date a dork. I'm actually attracted to dorky guys. I find them really charming when they aren't dorky to the point of being socially awkward. I feel like charm is the most attractive quality.
